Espace Pur provides solutions to address these challenges, aiming to restore the dynamic sedimentary equilibrium. In areas where degradation is too advanced, Espace Pur implements temporary, reversible technical solutions to facilitate a strategic retreat where feasible, while continuing efforts to re-establish the dynamic sedimentary equilibrium. Restoring environmental resilience is essential for effective coastal protection.

STABIPLAGE® TECHNOLOGY

Custom-designed and manufactured, STABIPLAGE® structures are engineered to withstand the demands of the marine environment, offering abrasion resistance, tensile strength and UV resistance. Made from proven materials, this technology is divided into three main segments, each tailored to a specific function:

Perpendiculars

Perpendicular STABIPLAGE®: breaker and sediment catcher

Perpendicular STABIPLAGE® can be used for:

  • Natural beach restoration

  • Stabilisation of sediment nourishment

  • Dynamic stabilisation of coastlines

  • Raising the beach profile

  • Securing backshore areas

Longitudinals

Longitudinal STABIPLAGE®: coastline stabiliser

Longitudinal STABIPLAGE® provide:

  • Reinforcement of dunes

  • Prevention and filling of breachesre-creation of dune cores

  • Safety and protection of inhabited areas against rising water levels (sea, rivers)

  • Reinforcement and protection of coastal roads

  • Direct protection of cliff bases

 

These attenuate wave energy and encourage sediment deposition.  

 

Custom-designed and manufactured, longitudinal STABIPLAGE® units are available with or without anchors, and in heights ranging from 50 cm to over 2 meters. 

Submerged

Immersed STABIPLAGE®:
beach toe, wave attenuator 

Submerged STABIPLAGE® are used for:

  • Stabilising coastlines

  • Stabilising beaches, protecting dunes and backshore areas

  • Protecting coastal infrastructure

  • Supporting damaged coral reefs

  • Creating calm bathing areas

 

These stabilise the beach toe and attenuate swells to limit sediment movement and encourage sediment deposition.

 

Custom-designed and manufactured, submerged STABIPLAGE® structures come in various configurations and heights, ranging from 50 cm to over 2 meters.

OUR OTHER TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS

Modules 

Modules are used to secure emergency structures or provide protection in hard-to-access areas.

 

These are custom-made, permeable geosynthetic structures that can be filled off-site ahead of deployment. 

 

Materials and dimensions vary according to site characteristics, and are adapted to the marine environment, being recyclable, and resistant to UV, abrasion and tensile forces.

Permeable formwork meets the need to protect land, beachfront infrastructure and riverbanks against the risks of marine erosion, associated scouring and wave action.

Thanks to its rapid, machine-free installation procedure, it can be deployed in difficult-to-access areas.

Depending on the site, it can be combined with other technical solutions and supports the re-vegetation of beach tops.

Backdune

Backshore structures 

​Backshore structures are designed to protect areas beyond the back dune and banks, forming a final barrier.

 

Composed of internal cores, they allow for vegetation planting and the creation of cycle paths and footpaths.

Working space

Working areas

Workspaces are tailor-made for maintenance work around cables, pipelines, bridge piers and other structures in aquatic environments.

They allow to work in calm areas.

Ganivelles

Wood ganivelle fences and vegetation

Wood ganivelle fences combined with vegetation are proposed as solution to curb wind and/or human-induced erosion.

Beach access equipment and facilities

Espace Pur supplies high-quality beach and sea access mats for people with reduced mobility (PRM), vehicles, and boat trailers.

​

We offer two options:

  • Supply of mats and installation kits only

  • Supply and installation carried out by our technicians.

 

These mats can be installed on beaches with high tidal ranges.

Custom-made design and manufacture of specific curtains to prevent the circulation of suspended matter generated by marine, river or lake works. Sizes, filter openings - our curtains are adapted to each site.

Renaturation and spatial reorganisation solutions are developed as part of a comprehensive strategy in close collaboration with the client. They are tailored to the specific challenges of each site with a focus on freeing up space and restoring buffer zones.

 

Where appropriate, this process may include the dismantling of existing structures.
